We spent the night at Eldorado lake-just to test all the systems.  Outside the rig was a bridge that spanned a large creek.  It had such cool detail and a great patina.

I really love line, form, light and structure, whether natural or man-made.

nature is peeking over the side of this bridge.  left to its own devices, nature will overcome humanity and our marks upon it.   left unchecked, humanity will destroy nature and all of its beauty.

The water is so still.  It is difficult to see where the reflections begin.

One of the cool things about traveling in a motorhome is the ability to meet people off the beaten path.  These boys were skimming stones and discussing the things that are so important to little boys.

We did it! Our maiden voyage in the breeze! Drove down from Anoka, Minnesota to Kingman, Kansas to spend memorial day weekend with family.  So excited to make a crazy dream become a reality.
It was funny, I saw my first full rainbow on the drive down through the flinthills.  I opened the window as we drove down the highway and was able to catch this as we sped by. I'll keep track of our journeys, and chronicle with pictures and stories.  I just wanted to share our joy.

An entirely new book for the Barkers!

We talked about traveling. Mark and I wanted to be sure that we traveled and saw the world while we are young enough to get around.  We wanted to simplify our lives: get rid of the stuff that ties us down. We wanted to spend time together and experience all that life has to offer us - together.

We put our Minnesota home on the market and are praying for a buyer.  We moved into a modest home in the Kansas City area and began remodeling. And, we traded in our truck and fifth wheel for a 32 foot Allegro Breeze. We are motorhome owners.

We're younger than most who decide to live on the road.  But we've figured out how to work, live and play in our home on wheels.  Armed with laptops (that have extended batteries), cell phones with big data plans, and a sense of adventure, we are getting ready to pick up our new home in less than a week.  We're both cautiously optimistic and just a little bit excited about our future.

Some have said we're starting the next chapter of our lives.  But, it feels more like a new book to me.  I'll share our thoughts, pictures, and adventures here.  Feel free to join us!

More on Friday after we pick up our new Breeze...
Happy Traveling!
